“Today (on Wednesday), on the third day of these war-games the land units of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) performed their operations in the northern coasts of the Persian Gulf and strictly and solidly defended the homeland versus the virtual antagonist enemy," said IRGC General Ali Sarkheili.
He said that in this phase of the war-games the operations of the Saberin IRGC Special Forces were aimed at attacking the enemies which intended to breach the air, land and sea borders of the country.
“The special force operations were conducted using special modern weapons,” added General Sarkheili.
He said that the suicidal drones, both those which are thrown by hand, and the long distance ones, with high explosion capacities, all performed their commissioned missions quite successfully.
The spokesman of the land operations of Grand Prophet (PBUH) 17 War-Games said that the anti-heliborne and defense operations of the southern coasts were conducted quite successfully, adding that In this war-game a combination of units using miscellaneous weapons in various cannon, armorial, missiles, and drones all preformed their commissioned tasks perfectly.
General Sarkheili emphasized that the IRGC land forces have expanded the domain of their operational war invasion drones and all their operations were successful.
He said that Iran is now capable of destroying the invading Cruise missiles using such defense missiles as Khordad3.
